MONTCLAIR WOMEN'S BIG BAND

The Montclair Women’s Big Band is a Bay Area treasure. Founded in 1997 by veteran trumpeter Ellen Seeling and saxophonist Jean Fineberg, the group is an alliance of some of the region’s most formidable jazz women. Forging a singular blues-drenched sound, audiences are electrified by the band’s powerhouse ensemble, addictive grooves and inspired solos. This extraordinary swing machine will blow you away.

There is a $20.00 per person food and beverage minimum and an 18% gratuity is added to all checks

Doors open 90 minutes prior to the performance for food and beverage service.

Seating is assigned by the Maître d’ based on purchased party size and section.

Patrons are offered seating choices whenever possible.

Guests may be required to check coats or bags that do not fit comfortably in the seating area.

Parental guidance is recommended for some performances.

All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.

The Montclair Women's Big Band was founded in 1998 by veteran trumpeter and bandleader Ellen Seeling, with producer Barbara Price. All About Jazz claims "the Montclair Women's Big Band is one of the most formidable jazz ensembles on the West Coast....this is premium-grade big band jazz, rigorously blended for high mileage and maximum pleasure."

The band’s high-profile performances have included gigs for the Kennedy Center, the San Francisco Jazz Festival, and the San Jose Jazz Festival, as well as performances for Hillary Clinton, and on NPR’s "Piano Jazz."
